Travelling Seoulo!

Wala lang, trip-trip lang I decided to go solo this time, well half of my trip because my friend Jas decided to come along after. It’s on my bucket lists to travel alone, as in the whole duration of my trip, hmmm maybe next time ako na lang talaga haha!

In planning for my solo trip I was thinking of Japan, Taiwan and Korea. Aside from being my fave Asian destinations, I feel safe and comfortable to these 3 countries. Well, I’ve been to Japan and Taiwan this 2015, so will probably go to Korea. It’s already been 3 years since the last time I visited the country.

[Day3] Fun fam tour in Taipei

I love this family; we don’t see each other often that’s why I treasure every moment with them. Seeing them happy makes me happier. I know it’s a tiring trip, but what’s important is we enjoyed being together, we had fun and let’s treasure this new experience.

Taipei has been always one of my favorite travelling destinations. You never stop impressing me every time I visit you.  Now that I have experienced, Taipei is a baby friendly City. It made our trip more easy and comfortable, especially on the Metro Rail. This would be our last day but for sure we will keep on coming back.

[Day2] Fun fam tour in Taipei

Everyone had a nice sleep after a tiring day yesterday. Now we’re all ready and excited to shop, I mean to explore hehe. Wearing our comfortable shoes for another long walk, and a must have umbrella and fans as this weather is scorching hot.

We skip our free breakfast and went straight to Modern Toilet to have our brunch. A few streets away from our hotel but they are still closed when we get there. We check the stores nearby while waiting for about 30mins. to open. They were excited but I’m not sure if they look happy with what they about to see and experience. Separate blog here.

[Day1] Hello Kitty Kitchen and Dining

No. 90, Da An Road, Sec. 1 (near intersection of Da An Road and Zhong Xiao E Road, Sec 4)
Opening Hours: 11:30 AM - 09:30PM Daily
Contact No. +886-2-2711-1132

We want to go to Hello Kitty! This was the answer I got from the twins when I asked them why they want to go to Taiwan. So the main purpose really for this trip is to visit this Hello Kitty restaurant. As much as they also want to go and stay at a Hello Kitty Hotel in Kaoshiung and Hello Kitty House in Hsinchu, they need to save more haha maybe next time. Kaohsiung is located at the southern part of Taiwan, so you need to consider the round trip fare of high speed railway + the accommodation fee. Mahal mga iha, let’s plan for that next time and then Japan after hehe.

[Day1] Fun fam tour in Taipei

There was a powerful typhoon name Soudelor that slams Taiwan two days before we fly. It was a last minute decision, actually on the day of our departure we then decided to pursue this trip. I keep on checking the weather update and at the same time coordinating with the hotel staff about the weather condition in Taipei.

We have arrived Taiwan safely but the flight was delayed for about 2 hours. Good thing, I already booked a pick-up service from our hotel but we were charged additional fee, as if it was our fault that we were delayed... well.

[Day 4] Springtime in Tokyo: Ueno Park

Today is considered to be our last day in Tokyo.  Sad, even the weather sympathizes with us, it’s very gloomy. But this won’t stop us from making the most of our last day even if it rains.

[Day 3] Springtime in Tokyo: Mt. Fuji Day Tour via Yokoso Japan Tour

Mt. Fuji Day Tour via Yokoso Japan Tour
Tour code : 05550
Tour name : Hakone Ropeway & Pirate Ship, Gotemba Premium Outlet, All-you-can-eat Yakiniku Lunch
Confirmed departrue day : 04 April 2015
<Webpage>   https://www.yokoso-japan.jp/en/05550.html

I can do a DIY trip to Mt. Fuji, my only worry is the weather. It’s located in a rural area and during cold season, waiting for the bus can be excruciating. So based on my research and computation I guess it’s better to join a group tour.

I searched for day tour trips and found this very affordable promo offer from the Yokoso Japan Tour. This tour code is not yet confirmed though, because they need at least 15 guests before they proceed. Sadly, it didn’t push through, so they offer us 2 tour options with a regular rate. I had no other choice but to get 1 since we are leaving in a few days and don't much have time.

[Day 2] Springtime in Tokyo: My Melody and My Sweet Piano Cafe

My Melody and My Sweet Piano Café
THE GUEST Café and Dinner
7F, Shibuya Parco Part 1
Opening: 19 March - 31 May, 2015 only

As a Hello Kitty fan I read somewhere that there is a new HK Café in Shibuya Parco. They just opened last November 2014 so I included it in our itinerary. I didn’t know until we get to the building that the themed restaurant was already replaced by My Melody and My Sweet Piano Café. I am not aware that they will be there for only a few months. A little bit sad though happy at the same time coz it’s new to us. Hey, they are Sanrio family and we love them all. Addition to my list of must try and see themed cafe's.

Who can resist their cuteness???

I’m sure most of us already know and watched the story of Hachiko. A loyal dog knows for waiting perseveringly for the return of his dead owner for over 9 years. Don’t worry Hachi, we will come back to see you every time we visit Tokyo.

April is considered one of the best time to visit Japan, aside from its cool weather people come to see the cherry blossoms. Every year, it is hard to predict the blooming dates coz it differs depending on the weather. But normally it takes around late March to April and it only last for 1 to two weeks.

[Day1] Springtime in Tokyo!

What do you expect if you plan your trip for a short period of time especially during holy week, in time for cherry blossoms and to a country in demand to most Pinoys today, Japan! Urgggg of course higher rates, from airfare to hotel booking.

We waited for two weeks to get at least the cheapest fare, but I don’t recommend this route. Most of the flights were already full and very expensive, so we booked with a stopover in Cebu (departure only). Yep, it's the cheapest that time but it's very tiring and you can't get enough sleep. During my first trip I only spent PHP 6,000, but this time it cost us around PHP 22,000 round trip fare to Narita, hindi ko pa din matanggap. But God is good; my friends’ niece accommodated us since we can’t get available room in Hostels, even capsules around the city for females are fully booked. The place is located in Saitama, northern part of Tokyo but it will take only 30mins. by trains going to the city.
