H E L L O   U S A ! ! !

All I wanna do is have some fun
I got a feeling Im not the only one
All I wanna do is have some fun
Until the sun comes up over Santa Monica Boulevard

I think of this song, the first time I got here.  Now it's playing all over again.

Santa Monica State Beach is an iconic destination that draws visitors from around the globe. It is 3 miles long, covering 245 acres of sand along Santa Monica Bay. Residents and visitors enjoy broad stretches of sandy beach, rolling waves,  meandering bikes and walking paths and inspiring views of the Santa Monica Mountains year-round. USA Trip: Second Time Around

2014 June, USA Trip
Los Angeles, California

It was winter, when I first came to the US year of 2011. Last year, the same friend invited me again to witness and celebrate a special occasions with them. Glad it was a year notice so I still have time to make make ipon, wait for promotional fares and make paalaman sa office.

February of this year, I was so lucky to get a super promo fare for USD700. It was a roundtip non-stop flight via Philippine Airlines from Manila - Los Angeles - Manila. The sad part is, I am only allowed to a 1 (23kg/50lbs) checked baggage allowance and 1 (7Kg/15lbs) carry on.  Additional 50lbs or 23kg baggage cost USD50. But still winner pa din sa fare, thanks to Jas and Kate for forcing me to go with them at the Travel Expo, I owe them some pasalubong

By the way last May, PAL released a memo stating all tickets acquired starting June 1 of this year are allowed of a 2 checked baggage whether it's a promo or not.

Lake Tahoe: Kings Beach

June 2014, USA Trip

Kings Beach was named after card shark Joe King, who won the town site from George Whittell nearly a century before poker had a cult cable-TV following.  Set against a vibrant blend of colors, flavors and textures, Kings Beach is kick back. In fact, this stretch of North Lake Tahoe wrote the book on mellow kick back.

It is rightfully known as the north shore’s banana belt, as it stands in the sun’s path from early morning into the p.m. As if basking under the sun’s glow were not enough, this mountain/beach town throws a sandy welcome to all with a signature downtown public beach.

I really love road trips here in the US, an hour trip from Sparks all the way to Tahoe would make your head spin from these picturesque views along the way. I find it really breathtaking; pictures didn’t do justice from its real beauty.

Grand Canyon (South Rim)

07.2014 Arizona, USA

Before the trip, I remember my friend asked me where I want to go.  I just told her that I just wanna see the Grand Canyon and go back to the Strip. I didn’t demand for any other places ‘coz I know she just had a baby and it’s really hard for us to go places.  These two would really make my vacation complete.

I really didn’t know my friends plan until I get back to Vegas. A week had passed and I found out that we will push through with the plans. Weeee soooooo happy, I really wanted to go there. This is actually one of the highlights of my second visit to the US.

The Grand Canyon, is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in the United States in the state of Arizona. It is contained within and managed by Grand Canyon National Park, the Hualapai Tribal Nation, and the Havasupai Tribe. Wikipedia

Scenic route from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon.
