2011 Holy Week SEA Trip
Also known as the "Monastery of the Great Relic", located in the central part of Ayutthaya in Tha Wasukri sub-district. The exact date of the establishment was difficult to assess but according to tradition, Wat Maha That was built in 1384 by King Rachatirat but it is more likely built during the reign of King Boromaraja I (1370-88).

Scattered around the temple are some important remains of variously shaped prangs and chedis with picturesquely ruined stupas.
