SINGAPORE: Universal Studios

2011 Holy Week SEA Trip

UniversalParks & Resorts markets the park as a “one-of-its kind theme park in Asia”.  Being the second to open in Asia and first in South East Asia, the park opens last October of 2009.  With a total of 24 attractions and consists of seven themed zones, each zone is based on a movie or a television show.  Source:  Wikipedia

Since we only have a very limited time in Singapore, even on a Good Friday yes we are here.  And we didn’t expect this day to be a Super Peak date, so if you are planning better check their website first and then look for their Calendar Chart where you can see the Non Peak, Peak and Super Peak dates.  Tickets can be purchase online and at the park.  Since we had a Super Peak date we decided to buy the ticket online, a one day pass which cost SGD 72.00 per head for Adult.  Just print your e-mailed tickets for admission and then scan it at the turnstile.

You can buy your online ticket here:

We checked-out at Marina around 12nn then transferred to a beary good hostel in Chinatown.  We we’re all in a hurry and not to waste our time we took a cab going to USS.  Since we are 5, it cost us SGD20 for 2 cabs.

Ate Cynth and I were dropped off at the Resorts World Hotel Michael main lobby while some of my friends came near at the car park I guess.

We decided to meet at the entrance but seeing this disappoints us.

The USS globe is under renovation hahaha... why it has to be on this day? My friends really wanted to have a picture with the real one hehe but Mars still manage to smile and just contented with its replica.

The Universal Studio entrance.

You can explore the seven zones of USS namely Hollywood, New York, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, Lost World, Far Far Away and the Madagascar.

You can download the resort map here:
