MALAYSIA: Bintang Warisan Hotel

2011 Holy Week SEA Trip

Finally we arrived past 3 in the morning at the hotel.  Bintang Warisan Hotel is located in the heart of Golden Triangle, the shopping and entertainment paradise of Jalan Bukit Bintang district of Kuala Lumpur.  The street was still alive when we got there; there are some stores and restaurants open.

For me, budget and location are the biggest factors in choosing my accommodation.  But,  Tripadvisor's review helped me to decide on this hotel. I made an online reservation in their website.  Although, they didn't ask for any fee, they do need your credit card details just in case you cancel your reservation.  There is no penalty if cancellation is made 72 hours prior to check-in date.  Otherwise, the cost of one night shall be charged on the card for each room reserved.  We paid the hotel in full upon checking in, but you still have a choice if you want to pay in full or only for the first night.

in the morning...

When I got up, I opened the curtain and voila! I didn't expect to have this view.

Saw the Petronas Towers for the first time so I felt so happy!

We were at the 9th floor, so just in case you want a view like this, tell the reservations officer.  Our friend’s at the 7th  floor has no view except for a wall :-P...

The hotel's restaurant is at the ground floor near the lobby.  They served juice and a choice of coffee or tea.  There were 6 choices for breakfast - two sets of American breakfast and four local dishes - but we ordered the same thing for our two days stay.

at night...

the view is more fancy

take a glimpse at the towers before saying good night!

My Review:  **** The hotel and our room were clean but I just don't like the smell of incense outside and in the lobby.  I'm not sure if it's from the hotel.  Breakfast was okay, even if I ordered the same thing everyday .... hehe.  The staffs were not so friendly.  They were helpful but i can't see a smile on their face.  Location was perfect since it was near the monorail, shopping area and restaurants. For a hotel, the price was inexpensive.  But for me, it's still expensive lol!  Although I must say, it's still a good choice!  Total cost for 3 days was MYR240.
