Have you seen the movie "Here Comes The Bride" which stars Eugene Domingo and Angelica Panganiban? Well, the movie was shot here and this is where I first saw and heard of this resort in Laiya.
Batangas is one of the most popular summer destination near Metro Manila. Known for their beaches like Anilao, Matabungkay, Nasugbu and Calatagan, Laiya in San Juan is now the most popular.
To avoid the number of tourists, we had our day tour trip last Wednesday. It took almost 3 hours to reach the resort via SLEX and Star Toll way.
Upon checking in, we found out that the overnight section where the Cabanas and Casitas were located are separated from the day tour or outing area. Well, I guess it's for the guests' safety and to maintain the resort's cleanliness.
It's like we owned the place since there were only two groups in the area. It was really a good choice that we went there on a weekday!
It's my first time in Laiya and we were surprised with the water and sand quality of the beach. It's not as good as Boracay, but it was nice and clean. Not like the typical beaches we usually go to in Batangas. So, it's an A for me. It surpassed my expectations. It really looks like a Virgin beach, I hope they maintain the beauty and cleanliness of the resort.
If you want a nice and quite place, i would recommend this resort.
For a big group like 30 pax, the resort will provide megaphone and materials for games such as beach volleyball, tug of war, sack race and obstacle course. We used 2 kayaks free of charge for 30mins. (but we actually used them for more than 2 hours and they didn't charge us hehe...)
